Mother Nature

One of my favorite things about Indiana are the storms - to a point.  I love that the sky in the Midwest is capable of pouring buckets of rain, as long as the wind that accompanies it does not trigger tornado warnings.  I HATE tornado sirens, probably because I hate abrupt and/or loud noises.

But storms like this?  Awesome:

This really is the color of the sky - no editing necessary.

(I apologize for the low quality of the video, but I don't have a converter yet.)

They don't have storms like this where I come from.  I can count the number of times I've heard thunder in Anchorage on one hand (though, in truth, I can count without using my fingers, thankyouverymuch.), and water never runs down the street. Ever.

I'm pretty sure that tornado season is about over (right?  RIGHT?!) so I hope to enjoy a few more of these delicious storms before windy winter sets in.
